In whose eyes a vile man is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; he who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and doesn’t change; he who doesn’t lend out his money for usury, nor take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be shaken.
Some photos on the internet find humor with people who shop at the store, Walmart. People will often wear the strangest clothes when shopping there, from pajamas to swim suits, to mismatched socks and even stranger wear!
There are places we’ll go where what we wear doesn’t matter—Walmart, a late-night convenience store, a fast food drive-thru—sometimes we’re just not worried about being seen by the wrong people.
But, when we attend a wedding or a funeral, when we pay a visit to someone we respect, we tend to dress differently. And behave differently. It matters who you’re with. It changes how you act and who you are.
If you knew you were paying a visit to the Almighty, you’d probably wear your best clothes and put on your best behavior. But…is there ever a time when you’re not with God?
God doesn’t necessarily care about how you dress. But He does care about how you clothe your character. Whether in Walmart or in the privacy of your home, walk with the same integrity as you would in the company of someone important.
And who’s more important than God?
