Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw near, when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them.”
Through this verse, the wisest King, Solomon gives you essential wisdom for life. He wants to give you the key to eternal prosperity and satisfaction:
Have the attitude that says you won’t give up. When you are in difficult situations (and you will be), don’t get discouraged and give up. Remember: Jesus, who was never defeated, is with you (John 16:33).
You are precious and unique in God’s eyes and in His heart. Jesus died for YOU. You are as precious to God as if you are the only one in the world (Isaiah 43:1-2, 49:16, Zephaniah 3:17).
Be open to God’s leading. Turn difficult times into an opportunity to broaden your perspectives. Step outside of your comfort zone and learn what God has to say to you through His creation (Isaiah 40:26, 28-31).
Test your ability. You never know what you can do until you try. There are no limits for those who believe in God (Proverbs 22:29).
Maximize the power within you. Use the talents and abilities God gave you to develop as fully as you can (Matthew 25:21).
Father, help me to use the period of my youth and even now as effectively as possible according to Your highest standard. Let me be the one You can be very proud of. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
