He said to them, “Don’t be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him! But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.’” They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.
Jesus has risen—He is risen, indeed!
To Jesus’ disciples, His resurrection was a time of triumph, of victory, of joy, worship and celebration. They spent the remainder of their lives following Jesus’ return to heaven letting people know about the Risen Jesus and the gift of salvation that comes only through Him.
For those of you who have accepted Jesus as LORD and Savior, His resurrection gives you the hope of conquering death and spending eternity with Him and the Father in heaven. What’s more, the resurrection is the foundation on which you live your life—a life that displays compassion, joy, a desire for others to know Jesus personally, and a Christ-like love for all.
If you do not yet know Jesus as LORD and Savior, let the Bible show you the way. Read it. Listen to what it has to say. Learn from it and from the wisdom of those who understand its great message. Let the risen LORD inspire you to live victoriously and with the faith and knowledge that you will share eternity with Him and the Father.
Yes, Jesus has risen…He is risen, indeed! Hallelujah!
